The diversity of the Asia-Pacific region – geographically, culturally and economically – has produced variations in microbiota which may contribute to differences in how various diseases present and respond to standard treatments. It has also produced variations in the gut microbiome, an important factor if functional probiotics are going to be an effective tool towards managing food allergies and potentially reversing certain disorders and diseases.

It is known that microbiome is paramount in maintaining health and preventing disease which associated with immunity and behavioural traits. Meanwhile, dietary supplements manufactured by incorporating various strains of probiotics are well established and are widely recognised as providing “dietary support”. Also, the interface between pre & probiotics and the microbiome has become an increasingly interesting area of research nowadays.

In view of these interesting phenomena, we are delighted to announce the launching of the 5th Microbiome R&D and Business Collaboration Congress Asia co-located with the 4th Probiotics Congress Asia. These events are co-hosted with the National Central University and National Chiao Tung University (GLORIA) of Taiwan. The Microbiome Congress brings together leading global and regional researchers and key industry players working towards bringing microbiome discoveries to the market This is your opportunities to create new large-scale collaborative networks inside the Pacific Rim and beyond.
Join us at Regent Taipei Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan on the 6th and 7th of March 2019.

About the Congress

The 4th Microbiome R&D and Business Collaboration Congress: Asia will be held on March 5 – 6, 2018. It is co-located with the 3rd Probiotics Congress. Building on the success of 2015, 2016 and 2017 meetings the event will bring well over 200 attendees from across the world to Singapore. The last 5 years have seen the volume and scope of microbiome research expand dramatically. The discovery of the sheer diversity of microbiota in the human body has propelled research into new areas and expanded our understanding of the microbiome and the significant role it plays health, disease and its prevention. Across the world scientists and research institutions are now engaged state-of-the-art research to deliver preventive treatments, cures, therapies and supplements that will improve human health. The funding to translate the research and “deliver to market” real products are also available. Last year venture funding surged to $616.9 million more than all of the venture investment in the microbiome space for the previous 5 years.
