Honorary Fellowship shall be bestowed in recognition of persons who have made outstanding contributions to microbiology and biotechnology for the good of the society.

Honorary fellows shall be elected annually by the council upon nomination by SSMB members. The award will consist of a citation as well as life-long honorary fellowship to the society.

The nominations should consist of a letter describing the candidate’s credentials in detail. The nomination materials may be sent to:
